Research
Research interests in cardiovascular medicine emphasize Doppler–echocardiography, correlative studies in hemodynamics, clinical cardiovascular pharmacology, animal models of cardiovascular disease, comparative cardiology, and specifically feline hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and congestive heart failure.
More recent projects include: the use of echocardiography in the study of ventricular function and hemodynamics; echocardiography in feline and canine hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, pulmonary hypertension in dogs, and pharmacology of ivabradine and atenolol in cats, echocardiographic prediction of congestive heart failure in cats, pulmonary hypertension in cats, aortic root size in cats, and left atrial function in dogs and cats.
