Education and Experience

Carlos Martinez qualified from University of Cardenal-Herrera CEU (Valencia) in 2006. After seven years in small animal practice, he moved to University College Dublin to undertake a residency in small animal medicine and obtained the Diploma of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine – Companion Animals (Internal Medicine) in 2019. He also completed a Doctorate of Veterinary Medical Specialisation in the area of canine hepatology, exploring the role of bacteria in neutrophilic cholangitis using fluorescence in situ hybridisation and investigating its genetic and molecular signature. Since 2020 is the Head of Internal Medicine at AÚNA Veterinary Specialties-IVC Evidensia.
