Current Position

Education and Experience

Aurelia completed her veterinary medicine studies at the University of Zurich in 2019. From 2020 to 2022, she undertook a rotating neurology internship at the Small Animal Hospital of the University of Zurich, including training in neurology, internal medicine, surgery, radiology, emergency and critical care, and anesthesia. She then continued her postgraduate education as an assistant in FVH specialization at Tierklinik Aarau West. Since February 2023, Aurelia has been enrolled in the Neurology Residency Program (Dipl. ECVN) at the Vetsuisse Faculty in Bern and is conducting a research project on CSF cytokines in dogs with MUO.

Teaching Experience

Aurelia has been part of the ESAVS teaching team since 2023. She also provides case-based lectures for veterinary students and trains fifth-year students during their weekly clinical rotations.

Research

Her research focuses on cytokine profiling in dogs with MUO compared to other neurological diseases using paired CSF and serum samples, and a case report on cerebrospinal nematodiasis in an alpaca.
