She worked as an intern at the Department of Medical Imaging and Orthopedics of Small Animals. From 2009 to 2011, Sara gained clinical experience working in two high-demand veterinary practices in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Following her board certification, Sara deepened her focus on soft tissue surgery, with a particular emphasis on liver surgery. Her research primarily concentrates on the long-term prognosis of portosystemic shunts treated surgically, as well as the surgical and interventional management of intrahepatic portosystemic shunts.
Sara’s broader clinical interests include ENT, general soft tissue surgery, urology, and minimally invasive procedures, such as endoscopy and interventional techniques, with a strong commitment to advancing surgical care for companion animals.
