Education and Experience
After graduating veterinary school in 2008, Camille did one rotating internship in the National Veterinary School of Maisons-Alfort, two specialised internships in surgery one in Montreal (DMV center) and one in the National Veterinary School of Lyon.
Camille did her three years residency in Lyon and obtained the status of Dipl. ECVS in 2015. Since then, she has been working in Frégis (Arcueil, France) and is now one of the three seniors of the surgery department along with Dr Poncet and Dr Ragetly.
Camille specializes in soft tissue surgery, with a particular focus on liver and pancreatic surgery. To complete her training, she obtained a university diploma in hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery. For two years now, she has been a member of the interventional surgery team at CHV Frégis, and now regularly performs interventional cardiac surgery such as pulmonary stenosis and PDA, as well as the management of degenerative mitral valve disease using the V-Clamp technique. She also performs embolization of intrahepatic shunts using coils.
This year, she also started a university diploma in interventional radiation oncology to develop arterial embolization of tumors.
Camille is one of the two founders of the French ECVS MOCK exam, created 4 years ago.
Teaching Experience
Since 2015, she and her colleagues have been training one resident a year. She has supervised two residents who have both graduated. She is currently supervising a third-year resident. She also supervises three surgical interns a year and 18 general interns a year.
Research
She has published numerous articles in French and English, including international articles in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Biomecanics, Vet Surg, JFMS and Vet Record. Her publications include the first use of a CUSA in liver surgery and the first pancreaticoduodenostomy in a cat. She is an editor of numerous international journals such as JSAP, Vet Record and Vet Surg.
