Current Position

Head of Surgery

Education and Experience

After graduating from the veterinary school in Liège (Belgium) in 2006, Adrien worked as a general practionner for several years in Belgium, France and the UK. As his enthusiasm for surgery grew, he went on to complete a three-year residency at Frégis (France), a busy referral practice. He obtained the status of Dipl. ECVS in 2018. Since completing his residency, Adrien has worked in referral centers and universities across England, Canada and the United States. After these enriching years abroad, he returned to his homeland and is now based at Aquivet in Bordeaux (France).
Adrien focuses in soft tissue surgery, with a particular interest in mini-invasive surgery and innovative techniques.

Teaching Experience

Since 2015, he has been working constantly with multiple residents.
With his positions as Assistant & Associate Professor while based in North America, Adrien has taught and communicated his passion for surgery with numerous students and rotating interns, several of whom have gone on to pursue advanced surgical training.

Research

Adrien has published numerous articles in both French and English, including research papers, clinical case reports, and educational content.
He is currently focused on advancing thoracoscopic techniques, particularly by enhancing the applicability of one-lung ventilation in small animal patients.

Currently developing a new device to treat extra-hepatic portosystemic shunts.
