Lionel SCHILLIGER is a French DVM working in Paris who always had an interest in herpetological medicine and surgery. He graduated from the French National Veterinary School of Nantes (ONIRIS) in 1989. He certified in canine and feline nutrition in 1992, in clinical hematology and biochemistry of small companion animals in 1998, and in canine and feline internal medicine in 2011. He is a Diplomate of the European College of Zoological Medicine (ECZM – Herpetology) and a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP – Reptile and Amphibian Practice). He is also a representative member of his country in the International Committee of the Association of Reptilian and Amphibian Veterinarians (ARAV) and a member of the Outreach Committee within ECZM. He is the author of numerous publications in international peer-reviewed veterinary journals, and the author or co-author of several textbooks. His main field of scientific research is reptile cardiology.
Dr SCHILLIGER is currently the head of the Argos Paris Village d’Auteuil Veterinary Clinic and of the Argos SpéNac Veterinary Referral Center in Paris, France.
