Education and Experience

René graduated from the University of Leipzig and went for doctoral studies and internship to the Free University of Berlin. During that time he discovered his passion for emergency and critical care patients.
After 2 years, he was working as an associate veterinarian a regional referral center in Norderstedt/Germany. Here he was responsible for in-patient care, emergency service and hemodialysis.
2007 he moved to Vienna for a residency in veterinary anesthesia and analgesia. Here he was also involved in the critical care service.
Four years later he moved to Munich and is head of the Emergency and Critical Care service as well as the Anesthesia service at the Clinic of Small Animal Medicine of the LMU Munich.
René is involved in national and international emergency and critical care as well as in anesthesiology societies.
