Education and Experience
She graduated as veterinarian in 1991. And succesfully defended her PhD in 2011 on the subject “Prognosis in canine idiopathic immune-mediated haemolytic anaemia “. She became diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 1999. She obtained the Senior teaching Qualification of the Utrecht University in 2014.
Teaching Experience
As a lecturer she is responsible for the clinical haematology and immunology courses in both bachelor and master curriculum as well as vector-borne diseases in companion animals. She coaches several candidates working on their teaching qualifications. Co-promotor of several PhD candidates.
Research
Research interests are immunemediated and vector-born diseases with a special interest in Leishmaniosis.
