Teaching Experience
I have extensive experience in teaching veterinary clinical pathology, across various formats including lectures, small-group sessions, and hands-on laboratory practicals for students and professionals. Passionate about high-quality education, I design courses that incorporate active learning techniques to enhance engagement and knowledge retention, focusing on practical, case-based learning to equip veterinarians with real-world clinical pathology practice. I have successfully completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice and am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, reflecting my commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.
Research
I have completed a Master’s degree focusing on lymphoma and inflammatory bowel disease in ferrets. I have supervised residency and undergraduate research projects and have been awarded multiple grants for collaborative studies. My research contributions include several scientific articles published in peer-reviewed international journals. In addition to my clinical and research interests, I am passionate about teaching and learning-focused research, including active learning strategies and the use of simulators to enhance the student experience.
