SUMMARY:Cytology\, Session 3
DESCRIPTION:Flow Cytometry: Elevating Diagnostic Precision in Lymphoma Diagnosis\nThe integration of cytology and flow cytometry has transformed our ability to achieve confident\, minimally invasive diagnoses of lymphoma in dogs and cats. In this advanced webinar\, we will begin with a focused review of flow cytometry principles and methodology before moving into complex\, real-world cases that challenge conventional interpretation. Through these cases\, we will demonstrate how nuanced analysis of flow cytometric data can decisively guide accurate diagnosis\, refine clinical decision-making\, and ultimately improve patient outcomes. \nLearning Outcomes:\nBy the end of this webinar\, participants will: \n-Gain a deeper\, clinically relevant understanding of flow cytometry technology\n-Understand the thought process involved in the interpretation of complex flow results\n-Apply flow cytometry strategically and appropriately in the diagnostic workup of lymphoma\n-Increase confidence in making accurate lymphoma diagnoses in canine and feline patients \nSpeaker: Nic Ilchyshyn DVM\, FRCPath\, Dipl.ECVCP\, MRCVS\, Antech Diagnostics\, UK\n

SUMMARY:Emergency & Critical care\, Session 10
DESCRIPTION:Neuro-muscular Ischemia\nNeuromuscular ischemia is a rare but serious complication in small animal patients\, often resulting from prolonged pressure\, vascular compromise\, or underlying systemic disease. Prompt recognition and intervention are critical\, as delayed treatment can lead to permanent neuromuscular deficits.\nIn this case-based webinar we will revisit the pathophysiology of neuromuscular ischemia\, with a focus on the “Kippfenster syndrome” and other clinically relevant presentations. Through illustrative cases\, we will highlight the importance of early recognition\, timely intervention\, and careful monitoring to optimize patient outcomes. Special emphasis will be placed on practical management strategies\, including pain control\, reperfusion approaches\, and supportive care to minimize long-term functional loss. \nLearning outcome:\nAfter this webinar\, participants will be able to recognize signs of neuromuscular ischemia\, assess severity and implement timely interventions and supportive care to prevent permanent deficits and improve patient recovery. \n

SUMMARY:Dermatology\, Session 9
DESCRIPTION:Fungal skin diseases. – Dr. Chiara Noli\nThere are several fungal diseases\, the most common ones are caused by dermatophytes usually growing on hair or skin keratin. Other less common usually saprophytic fungi can grow in the subcutis\, particularly in inmmumocompromised animals\, while others cause systemic infections. Many of these fungal agents are zoonotic and should be well identified and treated to avoid contamination. \nLearning outcomes:\nRational diagnosis\, treatment and monitoring of dogs with dermatopytosis\, subcutaneous or systemic fungal diseases \n
