SUMMARY:Clinical Nutrition\, Session 6
DESCRIPTION:Behind the Label: Spotting Red Flags in Nutrition Products\nThis webinar teaches veterinary professionals to critically evaluate nutrition products—from therapeutic diets to supplements—by reading labels\, spotting misleading claims\, and identifying unsafe formulations. \nLearning outcomes:\nParticipants will: \n– Decode pet food labels using regulatory and scientific frameworks.\n– Identify red flags\, misleading claims\, and signals of poor-quality formulation.\n– Understand supplement regulations\, evidence standards\, and risk patterns.\n– Advise clients confidently and prevent the use of unsafe or ineffective products.

SUMMARY:Feline Medicine\, Session 4
DESCRIPTION:FIP – What`s new? What`s hot?\nSince treatment options for feline infectious peritonitis have been introduced we certainly see and treat more feline patients with FIP. Even in countries where medication is not readily available. But what about the diagnosis? Is it that simple? How efficient are new PCR tests and how to interpret test results correctly? An additional challenge is that some cats present with atypical signs. There are FIP cases that might be missed. And then there are others that might look like FIP but aren`t. Let`s have a detailed look into this together.\nWhat you will learn:\n– How to diagnose FIP in a typical case with focus on serum protein electrophoresis\, acute phase proteins and pcr testing\n– Be aware of atypical FIP presentations and how to diagnose them\n– An overview about treatment regimens\, medical support and monitoring\nPreparation material:\n• Recent journal article on FIP diagnostic tools\n• Recent journal article on atypical FIP\n• Recent journal article on treatment outcome\nLive workshop:\nCases with typical FIP\, cases with atypical FIP and cases with „look-a-like“ but not FIP are presented and you are deciding which is which – based on the diagnostics you choose. After having identified the true FIP cases we will briefly talk about treatment\, medical support and monitoring. \n

SUMMARY:Dermatology\, Session 5
DESCRIPTION:Autoimmune and immunemediated diseases – part III. – Dr. Chiara Noli\nThere are many autoimmune and immunomediated skin diseases in dogs and cats\, with different pathogenesis and cinical presentations. Some of them are easily diagnosed on clinical grounds but some others histopathology for the diagnosis. Depending on the disease\, therapeutical protocols may vary and the progonosis can be diverse. \nLearning outcomes:\nRational diagnostic and therapeutic approach to autoimmune and immunemediated skin diseases \n

SUMMARY:Emergency & Critical care\, Session 6
DESCRIPTION:Head Trauma\nIn this case-based webinar we will revisit the pathophysiology of head trauma and outline a structured approach to the neurologic patient in the emergency setting. We will discuss how to perform an effective initial assessment\, including neurological examination and monitoring parameters\, and which diagnostic tools are most useful in the acute phase. Special focus will be given to evidence-based stabilization strategies such as optimizing oxygenation\, ventilation\, fluid therapy\, and analgesia\, as well as the role of hyperosmolar agents in managing elevated intracranial pressure.\nWe will also address common pitfalls in the management of head trauma and review decision-making regarding advanced imaging\, surgical intervention\, and prognostication. \nLearning outcome:\nAfter this webinar\, participants will be able to recognize and assess head trauma in dogs and cats\, implement appropriate stabilization and monitoring strategies\, and apply targeted interventions to minimize secondary brain injury and improve outcomes. \n
